What does an over/under bet mean?

An over/under or total bet is a wager in which you choose whether the total score of the game will go over or under the set line. If an NFL over/under is set at 42 and the score was New England Patriots 28 and the New York Jets 10, then the total scored was 38 and the game played under 42. If the Patriots score 32 and the Jets score 10, then the total score would be 42, this is considered a push. In the case of a push, you will get the money back that you placed on this bet.
